EL EJERCICIO FEMENINO DEL CUIDADO: DEL ESCENARIO FAMILIAR AL ESCENARIO EDUCATIVO
The feminine exercise of the care: of the familiar scene to the educative scene
Carmen Serdio Sánchez RESUMEN: El objetivo de este trabajo es reflexionar sobre el ejercicio del cuidado familiar en relación al proceso de envejecimiento y sobre el papel de la educación en la vida de las mujeres mayores que cuidan en su escenario familiar. Para ello partimos, en primer lugar, de una serie de claves derivadas de cambios sociales y culturales que inciden en la forma de ejercer el cuidado familiar. En segundo lugar, hacemos un repaso de las transiciones y roles que, desde una visión femenina, caracterizan la vida familiar en el envejecimiento. Finalmente, la irrupción de la educación en este marco de reflexión nos ofrece una nueva imagen de la mujer mayor. Una mujer que redefine sus fuentes de autoestima, extiende el cuidado a sí misma a través de la participación educativa, reconoce su papel de depositaria de conocimientos y habilidades, aprendidos muchos de ellos en el ejercicio del cuidado familiar, y encuentra su valor como transmisora de experiencia y sabiduría vital. ABSTRACT: The objective of this work is to reflect on the exercise of the familiar care in relation to the aging process and on the paper of the education in the life of the women greater than they take care of in its familiar scene. For it we started off, in the first place, of a series of keys derived from changes of articles of incorporation and cultural that affect the form to exert the familiar care. In second place, we make a review of the transitions and rolls that, from a feminine vision, they characterize the familiar life in the aging. Finally, the irruption of the education in this frame of reflection it offers a new image to us of the greater woman. A woman who redefines her sources of self-esteem, extends the care to itself through the educative participation, recognizes her paper of depositaria of knowledge and abilities, learned many of them 231
