PRESENCIA DE LAS ARTES EN LA ENSEÑANZA BILINGÜE
Presence of arts in bilingual teaching

RESUMEN: En el contexto educativo actual la mayoría de los centros ya imparten la enseñanza bilingüe. Se detecta la necesidad de un cambio en el papel tradicional del profesor de lengua inglesa. Ya no será sencillamente el de lingüista, no sólo tendrá que ser conocedor del idioma sino también deberá ser un gran comunicador. Abarcará diferentes campos de conocimiento y tendrá que hacer frente a este reto grande del bilingüismo. Este movimiento implica también una nueva manera de formar al profesorado. Queremos preparar a un maestro que actúe como impulsor, conductor, organizador, dinamizador de la clase y conocedor de diversas disciplinas. En este artículo presento mi propuesta de introducir las artes en este nuevo marco de enseñanza global e integradora comenzando desde la Universidad, formando a los alumnos que serán los maestros protagonistas de este importante cambio educativo en relación con la enseñanza del idioma extranjero. Mi intención es reflejar en estas líneas el proyecto realizado en la Escuela de Educación de Ávila de la Universidad de Salamanca donde las artes han tenido un papel predominante en la enseñanza de la lengua inglesa. Palabras clave: arte, literatura, música, lengua inglesa, didáctica del inglés, enseñanza bilingüe. ABSTRACT: In the educative context nowadays, bilingual teaching is present in most of schools. It is found the need of a change in the traditional role of the teacher of English language. He won’t be just a language specialist, not only will he master the language but also will be a great communicator. He will deal with different fields of knowledge and will face this great challenge of bilinguism. This movement implies also a new way of teacher training. We want to train a teacher who act as promoter of the class, and expert in several areas . In this articles it is presented my proposal of introducing the arts in the new frame of global and integrating teaching, starting from University, training the students will become protagonists in this important educative change related to the teaching of foreign languages. 255
