PRINCIPIOS ÉTICOS, ANTROPOLOGÍA Y MULTICULTURALISMO
Sumario: Pretendemos abordar en este artículo un problema de máxima relevancia: las repercusiones éticas que el multiculturalismo está teniendo en nuestras vidas. Para abordar esta problemática partiremos de algunos conceptos básicos que, desde la Antropología Cultural, nos ayuden a situarnos ante las implicaciones éticas de la diversidad cultural. Partiendo de estos conceptos estudiaremos el sutil paso desde un sano relativismo cultural gnoseológico hasta el relativismo cultural axiológico, para nosotros insostenible, como trataremos de hacer ver. Los temas que abordaremos nos ayudarán, sin duda a situarnos críticamente ante el multiculturalismo y acoger el conocimiento de la diversidad humana como un hecho que enriquece nuestra perspectiva de la vida. ETHICAL PRINCIPLES, ANTHROPOLOGY AND MULTICULTURALISM Summary: With the present article we intend to deal with an issue of high relevance: the ethical repercussions of multiculturalism in our lives. To tackle this matter we offer some basic concepts taken from the grounds of Cultural Anthropology. They could probably help us to understand the ethical implications of the phenomenon of cultural diversity. Taking into account this conceptual background we shall study the subtle shift from the healthy gnoseological cultural relativism to the axiological cultural relativism, untenable to sustain, according to our thoughts. The issues we shall deal with will help us, undoubtedly, to face multiculturalism from a critical point of view and regard the knowledge of human diversity as an enriching fact for our perception of human existence.
