PERCEPCIONES DE ALUMNOS Y PROFESORES SOBRE EL “BUEN” DOCENTE UNIVERSITARIO
The notions of students and lecturers about the “good” university lecturer
Sonia Casillas Martín RESUMEN: En este artículo se recogen algunas de las percepciones que tienen los alumnos y los profesores sobre el “buen docente universitario”. La mayoría de los alumnos perciben como características de los “buenos” profesores las relacionadas con la carga de trabajo adecuada, una evaluación justa, buena organización y estructura de la materia, buenas habilidades interpersonales y comunicación con los alumnos. En general, los alumnos se refieren a las características de dos tipos: didácticas y afectivas o de personalidad del profesor. Los profesores tienen percepciones según las cuáles consideran “buen” profesor a la persona que toma en serio al alumno, imparte el curso con normalidad, es muy exigente consigo mismo en el trabajo, desarrolla procesos de pensamiento en sus alumnos y tiene capacidad intelectual para interaccionar con sus alumnos. ABSTRACT: In this article we collect some perceptions some lecturers and some students have about the “good university lecturer”. Most of the students consider as caracteristics of the “good” lecturers the ones that are relationated with the work, the fair evaluation, good organization and the structure of the subject, good social habilities and good comunication with the students. In general, students think in the caracteristics as if they were in two groups: didactic and affective or lecturer´s personality. Lecturers have perceptions about which they consider a “good” teacher somebody that shows interest in the student, gives the lesson in a normal way, is very hard working, tries to develop in his students´ thoughts and has the capacity to interaction with his students.
