INTELLECTION, SENTIMENT, VALUE. Abstract. The tendency to consider that some mind acts determine others has been very frequent in the analysis of the moral life. The “moral cognitivism”, the “emotivism” and the “moral voluntarism” are the three more frequent interpretations in the history of the western ethics. Nevertheless, today they are questioned. For that reason, according to the description of the intellective act in Zubiri, we have proposed a new moral background. Not only the knowledge, the emotion and the preference have moral relevance, but the previous primary intellection of reality. The impression of reality has a meaning that is not exhausted in an only way of intellection. This meaning can be made specific in two dimensions: facts and values. Both dimensions are apprehended, that is to say, they are objects of sentient intellection. Therefore, the moral education is not only emotional or intellectual education, but primarily education of the diverse senses, the diverse ways of sensing. In this sense, the education of taste is singular. Key word: Zubiri, intellection (or mind), emotion, value, moral, education, taste.
