Jacqueline Sánchez Carrero Facultad de Comunicación Universidad de Sevilla Resumen / Abstract En tiempos recientes se ha notado un esfuerzo por promover y producir programas donde los niños juegan un papel diferente al tradicional, son protagonistas del reality show. El ejemplo impactante es Kid Nation, el reality americano producido por la CBS y emitido en otoño del 2007 con participantes de edades entre 8 y 15 años. Otro programa más reciente es Boys and Girls alone, Channel 4 Gran Bretaña, en el que los chicos compiten simplemente para demostrar sus habilidad en la convivencia. Este artículo examina este y otros programas de telerrealidad en los cuales los niños son usados como protagonistas. In recent times there has been an effort to promote and produce TV programs in which children's role differ from what we are used to, as they start to play the leading role in certain reality shows. The most striking example is Kid Nation, the American reality show produced by the CBS and released in the autumn of 2007 with participants aged 8-15. Another more recent show is Boys and Girls Alone (Channel 4, United Kingdom)), in which kids compete just to show their ability to live with each other.
