Program in parental skills addressed to one-parent families victims of domestic violence (social and psychological intervention)
PROGRAMA DE HABILIDADES PARENTALES DIRIGIDO A FAMILIAS MONOPARENTALES VÍCTIMAS DE VIOLENCIA DE GÉNERO (INTERVENCIÓN PSICOSOCOAL)
RESUMEN: Este artículo describe un programa de habilidades parentales dirigido a familias monoparentales reconstituidas, que vienen de un sistema violento, donde la madre ha sido maltratada por el padre. Esta línea de intervención psicososcial desarrolla tratamientos que rompen con la idea de desamparo e identificación negativa de la víctima, proporcionando un espacio donde pueda cambiar unas creencias y valores que la anulan y la desacreditan como ser autónomo y competente. Se proporcionan herramientas y estrategias para que la mujer se proyecte hacia un futuro positivo a pesar de los acontecimientos desestabilizadores, las condiciones de vida difíciles y los traumas. La mujer integra una percepción positiva como madre y una serie de capacidades para afrontar distintas dificultades. ABSTRACT: This article describes a program in parental skills addressed to strengthened one-parent families, who come from a violent environment, where the mother has been abused by the father. This way of social psychological intervention develops treatments to break with the idea of helplessness and the victim’s negative identification, giving her an area where she can change her beliefs and values that destroy her as a self-reliant and competent being, Tools and strategies are given so that the woman can plan into a positive future despite of unsettling events, difficult living conditions and traumas. The woman will be able to integrate a positive perception as mother as well as a variety of capacities to face several difficulties that might arise.
