Remarks on a Palmyrene Aramaic inscription (‘National Museum’, Damascus, C954)*
JUAN PEDRO MONFERRER-SALA Universidad de Córdoba
A relief dated in the 2nd century AD with a Palmyrene inscription1 from Dura-Europos, which is currently on exhibition at the ‘National Museum of Damascus’2, is the subject of a debate from the beginning of the thirties in the last century3 to the present day4. Although certain questions related to the identification of some words still remain to be answered, our aim in the present note is to offer some comments to the terms in the inscription.
