LA ILUSTRACIÓN EN EL PENSAMIENTO DE JOHN STUART MILL

Resumen: John Stuart Mill, padre del Utilitarismo, es un filósofo del siglo XIX. Como otros filósofos, revisa aspectos vitales para la sociedad, tales como la libertad, el ser humano, la sociedad, el modo de gobierno, la felicidad y la educación. En este artículo se intenta mostrar qué idea tenía S. Mill de todos esos aspectos tan importantes para el ser humano. Al mismo tiempo se muestra el modo en que el movimiento de la Ilustración influye en su pensamiento. Palabras Clave: democracia, educación, felicidad, libertad, libertad individual. ENLIGHTENMENT IN THE THINKING OF JOHN STUART MILL Abstract: John Stuart Mill, father of Utilitarianism, is a philosopher belong XIX Century. As others philosophers, he reviewed important aspects for society, such as freedom, human being, society, government, happiness and education. This article try to show the Mill’s ideas about those aspects. At the same time is showed the Enlightenment, as a strong influence in the Mill’s thinking.
